Why is it such a big deal. it seems like the us constitution can never be wrong or be changed.

But yes you are right. The citizens of the US commonly see their constitution as non-political and that the founding fathers created the world's first power based on the protection of individual rights and that the main purpose of this constitution was to protect the individual from the state-power itself.

Well, yeah they can be changed. Whether or not it's a good idea is another matter entirely.

It just seems so absolutist. In Norway you need 2/3rds og the congress. It just seems so conservative.

Well you'd want it to be hard to change the constitution, beyond the fickle nature of a single parliamentary vote. However, it is not to say it cant be changed.
I also believe you are wrong about constitutions. State constitutions are changed all the time, most recently to ban gay marriages. In that case it requires a mere referendum majority. There's no burning federal constitution problem, so theres nothign to change there anyway.
