Today, my brethren, is the day our beloved Brendan aka Bryndon lives 17 years. For most of us, that doesn’t seem so special. We’re all 17 or have been 17 already, with some exeptions. Bryndon however, has not been 17 before. Therefore I want to congratulate him with his birthday. Happy birthday Bryndon! And may your joy and gifts be plentiful, if I were present, I would give you a present. But because I am not present, I won’t give you a present just yet.

I’d like to praise Bryndon’s constant devotion to animal rights, his stubborn persistence in the Free Avathar Movement and he wanted me to praise his awesomeness, but I’ll praise his beard instead, because we’re all equals, making us all awesome, and when I praise his awesomeness I’d be praising my own awesomeness as well, which could be seen as total lack of modesty. So, may the beard be praised. This shall forever be the thread trough which we shall remember the fact that Bryndon has lived for 17 years on a row.

To those of us who got to know him better, Bryndon is one of those people with good intentions and a good soul. His being religious doesn’t make him a slave to the opiate that I call organised religion, but it makes him a better person and will help him accept the bad things in life with a smile and carry on where others, like me, might have problems to carry their burden. One final time: congratulations!

One last thing: it is said our Irish fellow human beings celebrate the Feast of Saint Brendan the Navigator. I don’t have a clue who he was, but the fact that these two have the same name cannot be coincidence. I call it divine intervention. Our Bryndon is meant to do great things.

Cheers,

Chaotica

This dude's one of the best people I've got to know on the internet. He deserved it. Exciting young lad, I find it cute to see how happy a person can be with his birthday.

Hey fucker, its the 15th not the 16th. By wishing him happy birthday today, you are stealing the thunder of people whose birthday actually is on the 15th: namely, me.

Hey fucker, where Bryndon lives it's been the 16th for quite some hours now. Think before you whine. HBD to you too, but if you're acting like this you don't deserve such a badass b-day thread.

It has been my birthday for 7 hours so far, and its still going strong. I reckon I can keep this up for at least 17 more hours...

Thanks for the awesome thread, Chaotica. Best present I've got so far

That's pretty harsh. My parents gave me some good stuff. A mobile phone, new clothes, a book to read. But Chaotica put up a birthday post so everyone on the 'net could read it!

so I think its a present.

I really hate it that I wasn't the one to create it.

Happy Birthday you, and now that it is over, you may tell us all the juicy details.

What Bryndon Does When He Has An Excuse To Party:

I woke up super slowly, slept in till everyone else was out of the house, got up, made myself some pancakes, went out with some friends and drove 'round town, headed out to university for the first time in a long time so I could give a speech for a public speaking course. Then went back and sat around at a mate's place watching old DVDs and playing magic cards, got driven home, sat around for about an hour, changed clothes, found out who was getting a lift with me to pizza hut, and went to the restaurant for party with an all you can eat buffet. I had about 20 people turn up, but a buddy o' mine ended up sitting in between all the ladies and I ended up sitting next to a friend of mine who wanted to tell me about the "terribly embarassing" day he'd had (He's a great guy, just not quite so great as five girls). But it was fun! I got some decent clothes, books, a few movie vouchers and some magic cards... plus a brand spankin' new mobile phone. You guys can abuse me in your native language on 0434 938 204

It was FUN.

Here in Holland, 17 is the best age. You can do crap like drinking, but don't have any responsibilities yet. Hope the year is as good for you as it was for me! (I'm 18 already... Boohoo, having to pay for schooling and healthcare sucks)

Plus this really cool torch that can hang off my wallet. I got it off a friend who works in an optometrist's surgery. After I got it out she borrows it for a second, checks my eyes and hands it back to me with a grin. Great person.

and to Love: From what I understand, a 17 year old can drive a car to and from any party they want, but they can't do anything when they get there. I'm a poor uni student, but even if I had money I can't drink or own property and other fun stuff till I'm 18, and as a christian I can't have sex before marriage, and as such I don't even get to hang out with an illegitimate love-child from a failed relationship. It sucks!

j/k, I'm fairly sure there are good things that will reveal themselves to me over the next few weeks. I can get into most of the good movies now, but with my beardiness I could do that when I was 13 anyway

Hah everyone solve your problems and move to Canada. I'm telling you paying for healthcare seems like a ridiculous thing to do.
