Had a discussion with an E-friend of mine on whether Bush is stupid or not. We came to the agreement that as a president, he isn't exactly retarded. When it comes to looking out for his friends he's made some pretty adept maneuvers. At the same time though, the fact that he went to Yale or Harvard or wherever and still can barely read a tele-prompter really makes me lack respect for the man's intelligence. I'm sorry, but being able to read and formulate cohesive thoughts is just the bare minimum I require of my President. Sorry if this wasn't comprehensive enough B~E. If you'd like me to add a couple more paragraphs, then let me know so I can cut my dick open and write it with my dick as an impromptu stylus.

I would like some more paragraphs, yes.

He most certainly doesnt seem idiotic or stupid to me. However, I think its him or his neo-con advisors who possess a severely slanted world view of the US's role in modern politics. That guns bared, all-or-nothing, invade and occupy countries in an age of nationalism, offensive diplomacy that really kills off America's most vital asset; that of soft power and a backyard full of friends. Of course, the administration seems to have changed quite alot over the years, but the early fuckups of Iraq etc. are hard to patch up.

Think of it hes got like a shit load of speeches and it must be a very very stressful job. That he makes mistakes is expected.

But he is an asshole and perhaps just a more ordinary guy than some.

Academic:
He's a complete retard. The only reason he even passed Yale was because of his background and money. He graduated with a C mind you, meaning the bare minimum to pass. Dick Cheney managed to fail so many times he just got booted out.

On this topic, its surprising that such academically inept individuals are even given the chance to become president, let alone actually be the president and vice president. Jokes aside, america needs to fix up the way it gets candidates, because that's just bad. It's like they say, black man without a degree can't even be manager at McDonald's but a white man runs the god damn country.

I like to poke fun at america by pointing out that two of the party leaders here have PhDs and were university professors at one point and all other MPs (that are important anyway) as far as i know have some kind of bachelor's degree (decently obtained).

Political:
He's not exactly stupid but then again if you define narrow-minded as stupid, then he's extremely stupid. Bush and friends hold to that neocon, america should rule the world view, which is, at best, ignorant.

My real fear is that Bush and the neocon armada actually believes the bullshit that comes out of their mouths, actually believe they were helping in iraq, actually believe in this war on terror, actually believe that bringing God back into politics will work wonders. Because if they actually believe it, you've a more serious problem than just simple corruption.

Hes definatly not dumb, but he isn't smart enough to be president. And he can't admit a mistake, which is a really shitty quality to have as the presidetn of a nation.
