From Zeratule's bio (which is now up, BTW),

When the fuck did this happen? I've read every SC book out there (aside from Uprising) and I don't recall this at all.

In case anyone cares, it's also being covered in a new SC trilogy of books by Christie Golden. The story's alright, but the writing could be better. Too many cliches.
