So what's the price of a six-pack and a chips bag?

you buy beer individually here, and they're large, possibly a litre? They cost about a dollar a bottle. A bag of chips... maybe 70 cents?

A small bag of chips is like $1, a bigger bag can be up to $3.50. Most six packs are around $5 or so (plus deposit if you live in certain states).

Now if you go to a bar, those same drinks turn into $2.50 or more per can/bottle. Chips are still about the same price at least.

The price I spend on beer and chips each month varries wildly... chips are probably under $10, but beer on a slow month might be $20 and on a busy month can go into the $300 range (like last july, lots of drinking that month). A slow night at the bar almost always costs $20 a pop, a really good night is going for $50 or so.

a beer in Boston cost $4, or $6 at the Fenway. Beers cost less at bars in Slovakia than they do at supermarkets. Yup glad I left.

a big bag of lays can cost about 3 or 4 bucks, but i dont usually eat too many chips, i try not to have junk food around my place, since i eat like shit when im out as it is

a pint of beer in chicago can cost anywhere from 4 to 6 bucks for domestic, but imports or specialty beers like stella artois or pilsner urquell can cost 8 or 10 a glass... which is asinine, you can just buy a 12 pack of longnecks for like 20 to 25 bucks anyway.

No one should ever drink a Guiness out of anything then a pint and pulled of tap.

Anyway, lets see a carton here is about 50$ for good beer, then spend about 50$ at the pub that 250$ in the month for just the pub and that is only going for the odd pint.

So about 500$ on beer a month. And that is taking it very easy.

Chips? dont eat them much at all and dont really care too...

Someone said Guinness. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I spend about 10 euros a week on beer (on average) but I'm moving out so can't be draining my parents' beer supply any longer. Chips, maybe 10 euro a month. So, I'd say 50 e.

Strawberry on the Shortcake

here in VT, chips are mostly 99 cents a bag, but some of the big bags are 2 to 3 bucks.

beer prices vary depending on the kind of beer: it ranges from 7.99 a sixpack(for expensive beers), to 10.89 for an 18 pack(for icehouse... not that youd want to drink that anyway, but just saying).

Guinness from the can (and bottle to lesser extent) are quite near tap Guinness in my experience if you dont let them sit in the fridge for more than 2 or 3 days at most.

Sammy, when you come to Slovakia, bring some coins from New Zealand, and the neighboring area if you can. I collect foreign coins.
