I would say Console, and GCN exclusives.

Allready been talked about. Check the thread lower down.

Roper himself says they're going for PC first.

Our general consensus was that they wouldnt be able to make the current generation of consoles regardless.

And even if they did, why would they release it for the GCN? That'd be like making Doom3 a MAC only game.

Look at it this way. The existing fanbase from their blizzard days are PC gamers. They are also the teenage and slightly younger group... not many people under, say, 7, play blizz games. Because of that, it would be stupid for them to mak a GCN game. Most PC gamers play PC, but not all play a console. Why alienate your fanbase? Also, nintendo games are marketed toward younger gamers, no offense to game cube fanboys, so again, they miss the target audience. It doesnt make sense.

Nintendo is actually trying to focus on older gamers and the gamecube has a good amount of T and M games. PS2 has tons of Disney games and no one seems to think it's kiddy. (Plus, E doesnt stand for kiddy, but they seem to think so, which is why I bring up their E rated Disney games; and yes gamecube has a few, but not nearly as many as PS2.) ((There was a poll a long time ago about how old cube owners were, over 50% were over 18. But, I am not sure that is reliable))

My sister couldnt pass the first island in Wind Waker, she couldnt get more than 2 stars in Mario Sunshine, shes 9, gona be 10 soon... and I am seriously having trouble finding her kiddy games. Donky Konga might be good but its not in U.S yet.

And all this STILL amounts to the ps2 having 78% of the market-share worldwide. In NA only the Ps2 has around 63% of the market. Again, it'd be like releasing D3 and HL2 on Mac only.

playstation had over 70% of the market back then

Mario 64 still sold 11 milion
ocarina of time still sold 7.1 million
world wide.

and there was no Playstation every sold more than 10 million, FF VII, with 7.35 million sold became the top

whats your point?

Point here is people seem to think that Nintendo is for kids while Sony is for the more mature audience. I agree, look at the facts, back when SNES and Sega ruled the market, in Mortal Kombat 1 for Sega "Scorpion" said "Get over here!" while in Mortal Kombat 1 for SNES he said more politely "Come Here!". There were also different fatalities for Sub Zero (if Im correct) one less grousome than the other.

Now fast foreward to todays modern market of killer games like "Silent Hill" or "Resident Evil". Their all scarier on the Sony scale, nintendo cant compete. Im not even going to begin by mentioning games like Grand Theft Auto, which never saw gameplay on any system that had the "Nintendo" trademark on it.

If you want to kill someone, Sony or Microsoft is your answer. Blood is too thin on the Game Cube.

There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics.

The installed userbase for GC is MUCH smaller than the PS2's. Secondly, GC's userbase ISN'T Flagship's primary demographic. Thirdly, OF COURSE Mario and Zelda sold so well, THEY WERE 1ST PARTY SOFTWARE. Yeesh man, I've got a Gamecube myself but that doesn't make me blind to the obvious.

LASTLY, why are you looking at last gen consoles? Let's look at current gen systems. Zelda WW sold a mere 300,000+ in the US, whereas FFX sold around 1.8 million in the US. Also, there's no point in looking at the japanese market as they would never buy a Blizzard/Flagship game in any kind of commentable quantity [plus FFX crushed Zelda there as well].

Come back when you've sold your stock in Nintendo.
