Staged? I don't see why they would since that early bunker rush, had it been succesful, would have made it kinda boring for a BR.

I wonder why the terrans don't want to use their siege tanks..

Well, once the Terran player was contained early in the game, the Zerg player could have easily consolidated his victory by expanding in the map. Instead, the zerg expended too late, long after the terran. This was a major mistake, allowing the terran to do a comeback.

Perhapes the terran player wanted to try and show us the new stuff. Apparently, new units and abilities are overpowered early on, to incite testers to use and abuse them, only to have the balancers dial them back later on. It might explain why the terran player relied on the nighthawk so much. Merely pushing with marine/tanks might have been a bit boring.

As for the tanks, they have been nerfed. They do a bit more damage, but they tend to cost a lot more. You dont tend to produce expensive units when you're continuously harrassed.

It's not staged - they just have folks select a game which is good and then have Dustin Browder and that other fellow commentate it.

And yeah - Matt Cooper....ugh, why do they keep putting this guy up against David Kim? These are the same two guys who played in the first battle report, and David Kim won there, as well!

If you watch both battereports, whenever they bring up the production tab, David Kim's always churning out stuff and Cooper's production queue is empty.

Durrrr - he just fails at production. About midway through BR2, it can even be seen that Kim had almost TWICE the number of SCVs to Cooper's Drones. I think his natural expansion only had no more than 7 drones on minerals the entire game.

Cooper's main mistake was failing at expanding when he had the terran contained.
