It's possible! It would really kick ass if the kobolds were only hirable for evil-alligned races while gnomes were hirable only for good-alligned...

They should be remarkably better workers than the regular peons...

Or it'd be sweet if kobolds could actually make tunnels for you units, like nydus canals in Starcraft. But they'd be really expensive, and it'd take really long to do. If any of you played Ages fo Empires II, you'd know how awesome it felt to break a path through the trees and sneak up behind your enemy.

I never really thought about mercanaries that didn't fight before.

If the kobolds could tunnel then they would be the only mercenary I would buy. All you have to do is tunnel into the opponent's base and gut it.

I think they are the most boring NPC,s in the game, Because they dont even look like the real little devil shaped blue beardless kobolds, They look like weak grandpa's,that cant even shapeshift like real kobolds do!

Wouldn't it be cool if the special attack for these tunnelers was a "tunnel up your ass and then start a camp fire next to your colon" type of spell?

I hope there is a "Headbutting an idiot" attack in this game, they are the best kind.

I'm ops for the tunneler being like a peon but much more proficient. but you pay him as he works. Like he keeps a small share of the gold he mines for you or keeps alittle of the building cost making it alittle more when he builds buildings. He'd be good to get early in the game to get the building behind you and get up some resources quick. Also i'd like him to dig trenches effectively making chokepoints.

Perhaps Kobold miners could work like the warping harvester in C&C:RA2. But instead of warping it could travel underground. Maybe the units should tunnel to and from the mine, rather than just one way. Just a suggestion.
