Silly people who can't play games because of work. You must be sad, sad individuals. I took a whole week off of work because two games are releasing on the same day.

I'm going to the midnight launch, yes, at a local Gamestop. Being as BlazBlue: Continuum Shift releases on the same day, I'm hoping I can get that at midnight as well. Either way, it's going to be a crazy awesome week.

I'd like to buy it in English and play it, but I won't for a while because, well I'm in Slovakia, and hell, I'd rather wait till it's cheaper. Plus I'm painting now and I don't want to stop that. I made some sales! The nude chick is still up for grabs!

I've got mine already - Collector's Ed :].

However, it's going to take me a long time to finish the campaign because I'm going to play through it with my brother, who can only play after work.

So since we'll just be playing the campaign in the evening, I imagine it might take us up to 2 weeks to finish. Oh well - makes the experience last longer!

I'll be running my midnight tonight at my store. Expecting atleast 50-60 people to show up, hopefully more.

And I plan to play as much of the campaign as possible until I have to go back to work at 8am the next day! haha!

9 hours 22 minutes to go here. I plan to stay up all night playing video games--energy drinks and snacks will be procured beforehand. I'll probably end up going to McDonald's for breakfast before I go to bed.

and btw, you all have to buy the game. we've been coming to this website too long. we all need something to talk about. suck it up, find the time, play the video game.

:-P

Got my collector's ed and played the first three missions of the campaign so far. Really liking the new campaign interface. Taking a short food break then back to it!

Somebody make a topic with character names/IDs so we can add each other as friends on bnet.

you like the kids who left neverneverland from that one movie and forgot what it was like to be a kid and how to fly... peterpan thats what it is. at least try to show some enthusiasm...

i bought it and will play it and try to be excited. so go buy if not out of excitement but out of want for it.

or something like that i am disappointed. this was the one place i figured for sure would be a buzz tonight with enthusiasm.

bah.

Actually not the Collector's Edition, but my brother did get that one and it also arrived, so I can see all the art books and stuff.

Is there any reason to buy the box? My local place didn't have it so I need to download the game if I want to play it tonight. Is there a nice booklet? Little goodies n such?

You mean the regular box or the collector's box? The regular one has a booklet with some background information, mostly the happenings before and during SC1. The collector's box has lots of stuff, Art book, comic, soundtrack, making of, USB Stick with SC1 on it.

The usb stick is formed as a cheesy "Jim Raynor dog tag".

It has been a lot of fun so far. 4 difficulty settings making it great. Playing on hard, which is suitable for me. Achievements are awesome and make some levels quite hard. Replay value ftw. You can choose some of the lvls you want to play and I got the feeling I am missing out on a lot. The first missions were boring and cheesy. " Somethings are worth fighting for, like freedom."

Wow. I guess I'm going to have to do that too. This game is NOT running nicely. Son of a bitch. I hit "play starcraft" at 10pm, it's now midnight, and I haven't started level 3 yet.

I should have bought the hard copy so I could say, "fuck this computer I'm using my dad's." but instead I'm downloading the client for an additional 4 hour wait. gah. hopefully this one works.

Mine runs at very low settings, but seems to run fine. Did some custom comp stomps with a buddy tonight and there was pretty much zero slowdown, so I can deal with the reduced graphics.

Thanks for the b.net name topic, Pell.

My 4 year old video card isn't handling the game great, but it's still playable. That being said, it would be nice to play on higher settings

I gotta say, the single player campaign is great so far. Lots of fun choices with unit upgrade, tonnes of extra units, a neat research system which'll add some extra difficulty and replayability, and the mercenaries are kinda interesting too.

It seems to me that you don't miss anything if you choose to do the missions in a weird order. There are a few missions where you have to choose a side though, so I'll have to go back and play again to see what the other side is like.

Really enjoying the game. Two thumbs up!
