Al Gore still says he's not planning on running but you have to notice the guy has released a hit movie which spends an awful lot of time talking about Gore, that he's been dieting to get in shape and lose the weight he's put on since 2000, and that he's just written a book about what's wrong with politics in America and how to fix it. Is this stealth campaigning or just Gore doing what he likes best?

I'd be interested in knowing if he's book tour just happens to take him to key primary states or not plus I notice he's polling in the number three spot right now and he isn't even a candidate. If Hillary stumbles or the hailo comes of Obama then I wouldn't be surprised to see Gore jump in the race. Especially if he wins that Noble Prize next October. I could total see that being the ideal time to declare your in the race with all the media coverage he'd get plus there's still plenty of time to get on the ballot in all 50 states. The real question is fund raising; he has the contacts but is one year enough time to amass a war chest?

I'll vote for any of em. In the long run, I'm not sure it matters. I do like him, though. He's smart.

In my opinion, neither can get elected. Both of them will easily win the traditional democratic battlegrounds. The real question is, can either of them win in any of the states needed to swing the election.

Probably not.

America's diff than it was in 2000, and it's hard to tell if Gore's more or less popular than he was. One tell tale sign that he's running is he shaved the beard.

One thing though. Bush won more easily the second round than the first. How in the hell did that happen? I mean, you'd think it'd have to be voter fraud, but somehow people liked the bastard. So I just don't know what this country will do next.

Well there was probably some fraud, since the IEEE gave the e-voting machines a failing grade in its inspection. However, with a victory at roughly 50 something %, fraud is usually known as margin of error.

He wont run, in the end he wants demos to win, if he runs along with hilary and oboma, votes will be split too much.

There wouldn't have been an Iraq war.

If Al Gore became president, the economy would've been better and the earth probably wouldn't be as hot as it is now.

And why did they bother using DIEBOLD voting machines anyway? I don't trust them.

Yeah, Gore is happening right now, and I'm interested in your take on Steve Pyke's photo. I think it's a really interesting combo publicity shot/ character study.

What I'm particularly interested in, however, is the growing buzz around eco-politics. As usual, I'm thinking about "the look of it" with the attendant rewards and pitfalls.

With Gore's high visibility right now, and the perception he's way down the road on the issue, I'm struggling with the visuals of Pelosi's weekend mission to Greenland. Especially with Gore in mind, Pelosi's snaps make it seem like she's a little desperate (to catch up? to build up her green cred?). (As further evidence of the strain on the PR hand, check out this shot on Nancy's blog with her husband and Anderson Cooper.)

I'm also wondering about the whole issue of "visual politics" when we're talking green. My sense is that ecology, as ideological subject matter, somehow pulls for a more genuineness. Perhaps that's why Rove placed Bush in a policy forum yesterday for his nominal jump onto the global warming bandwagon instead of in front of a polar bear.

Okay Mr. Intelligent, if you're so smart, then respond to this post, proving you're not a bot.
