Character creation!

(I’m flexible: almost anything will work)
Class: (example: mercenary, lord, sorcerer)
Style: (example: melee, ranged, magic, stealth…ect ect)
Weapon: (must fit style, must be reasonably accurate to the time)
Craft: optional (black smithing, pottery, something useful, but not important)
Island: which island you want to be a part of
Loyalty: (good/bad/neutral) [if neutral, what side do you lean to]
Blood line: (what blood line you descend from) [important if you want to have a strong sway of people]
Clothing: (the garb you wear) [varies slightly from island]
Appearance: how you look
Status: what rank in society (poor, trash, respected, royal…ect)
Skills: (select any 5 major skills of your choice)
(Example: master swordsman [anyone can USE a sword, not all are masters], marksman, assassin, infiltration….ect…ect…)
Connections: how many contacts can help you through the game (list them)
Life style: who you are, main details of personality.
Characteristics: your merits/flaws (Example: fear of spiders, or anger, prejudice…)


And that’s it for now….there might be some later….

Blood Lines


Slan'set (dragon/evil)
an old trib that believed in using the great dragons as a weapon, not an object of worship. they believed that the human race was meant to be the greatest of all rulers, and so attempted this dream with all forms of military. known to be ruthless and cold against any who hold different beliefs
symbol: black dragon on white sphere

Slan'jesu (dragon/good)
a tribe that almost worshiped the dragons, they believed that humans were put here to help the greater creatures of the world...they lived in constant awe of the dragons, and practiced dragon magics. they were only aggresive in defense of dragons
symbol: white dragon on black sphere

(both the above became the mountain island)

Anubis clan (anubis was the egyption god that caried the dead)
a small outcast clan, they developed a form of "necromance" using the blood and bones of the dead (or living ) they suposedly died out long ago...but rumor speaks of a "half blood", that the last dying man of this tribe mixed his blood with another. they are very cold and tend to hate most other people. they also believe that nothing is more potent then dragon blood/bones.
symbol: a white upside down dragon upon a black background.

Rae clan (rae was the egyption god of the son)
this clan held reverance to the stars (and sun), they were the most common clan, and practiced the readings of the stars. they had a large military, but generally used them to "good". respected the dragons, but neither worshiped nor hated them. became the leading clan.
symbol: a black bird on a golden sphere (sun)

desert scorpian clan (assasins)
a rogue clan, trained group of assasins and cut throats, they have a demented taste of honor, and will rather die then fail. by tradition, they never where armor...rather use stealth. are known to hide completely under sand dunes, only to strike upwards on the victums. developed advanced poisons and were nomad.

sat'slan (anti-dragon)
a clan that feared and hated dragons, they believed that dragons were really demon spawn, if not demons themselves. constantly ploted ways to kill off the dragons...but usually failed. developed a form of netting used to capture dragons...
had an army, but rarely won a battle.


tee'flo (leading water)
a tribe dedicated to the findings of water (in the desert). they never had an army, but a ring of elementalists, speicialized in water/wind/ice type elements. later broke up into different branches (for each element) at one point were considered holy for the ability to call down water. one was at almos every clan.


tee'shine (leading fire)
a tribe that relied on the holiness of fire. believed that the only way to save a sinner was with the "purity of fire" (a nasty practice) had a small militia like army, but mainly relied on fire magics. became fire elementalists.


Tribe of the earth
a tribe dedicated completely to magic (not elements), plan regular arcane arts. could minipulate nature and neutral magic (shields, energy, mind control...ect ect) believed to have split into two sects, one is the "tribe of the earth", the other practiced green magics.



(3 other tribes are exinct save ancients)

Jungle Island

A fairly small island, noted for its lush and thick vegetation, almost impossible to move through quickly. for many years this island was thought to be uninhabited...but just recently a race of people have been discovered living here. next to the island is a slightly smaller island (still considered a part of this one) that has a small active volcano on it. this volcano is the object of holiness to the people of this island

(neutral guys)
the men (and women) of this island are all connected by one trait...they are no taller then 2 feet. yes, REAL small...but very resourceful. they speicialize in a [really] short bow, that ALL arrows fired by it are magically charged to combat shadow-beings.
the great thing about being one of these people, is that all clothing you they wear is a speicial (almost magical) material that nearly completely matches the suroundings. thats why it took so long to discover this race. further more, the race has many times the population of the other islands.


"green magic" is commonly used by these people (magic that envolves an item/powder/potion...ect ect.)


this island currently has two leaders, Illeth Nreth (king of the people) and The Gaurdian of the Shrine (religios leader)




Central Island

The central and largest of the islands, (and my favorite)
This island is the most normal of them all, filled with long rolling fields and hills, with an occasional forest or woods. its also the most open of islands...for it is divided by a few different types of people. The main city is full of multitudes of people, and located on a platoe(sp?) like peninsula (great stratigy point). their are many common farmers and hunters in all of the towns, and a market street in the city (great place for learning stuff, buying stuff, and trading). there are also alley-ways known to carry a rag-tag theif's den.
the Palace is in the far back, and VERY well guarded.


(good guys)
The main army is known as "Dyons" (sword users), this is a well trained organized army, speicializing in all forms of weaponry. Long bows are not an option. The people here are generally respectable, but perhapse the most familier of peoples, they are ruled by many lords and Ladies, who in turn, are ruled by a King.
Dyons gain (only one of the following) 1) a horse like creature, that is all white with weird black stripes on the neck and head. they also have long black horns. (a deer/horse thingy) or 2) leadership (the ability to take control over disbanded armies, or peasants, and make them fight for you/help you in GOOD ways)


Then their are many villages full of farmers, and hunters, and other such common people...but as of right now, every village has a militia. militia gain skills with all farm-related weapons (quarter staff, pitch fork) and most have light armor, and old weapons. miltia gain an extra skill called "Defense of the People" (this allows them to fight twice as strong when defending.)


finally, there is a small town on the lower part of the island. this village holds large barbarian like people, they are taught in clubs/axes/two-handed swords (only one) and live in a series of trecherous hills made of a blood red clay (there is a legend to this), in the hot part of the year, hte clay is slippery and dangerous, in the cold part of the year, the clay is sharp and jagged. always dangerous to walk through. the barbarians gain "Bezerker" which allows them to triple there strength for a short duration of time. but these people can NOT ride the horse thingy.


A priest hood is open for magic users, as is standerd sorcery.


lastly, the ruler of this island is "Hyper ye Sea'thus" (emperor of The Isle of Light) he is as well one of the 5 greatest ancients, and slightly in charge of all islands (save the swamp)




Swamp Island


A very horrible island to live in, this island is virtually one massive swamp, only interupted by an occasional strip of land used to travel, only one city stands, and this is more of a fortress...built around a huge black flat stone. an occasional outpost stands built upon long poles in the swamp. the swamp is known to carry a host of ungodly things and creatures.

(Bad Guys)
The people of the island are a swarming multitude of raptists, murderers, con-artists, street theives, and just about every other form of convict imaginable...this leads to a diverse group of soldiers used for multiple things. the people occasionally join up in bands and gangs and fight each other.
almost all traits and variety of units are acceptable.


only shadow-magic can be taught, and only to the worthy.


if you are of this island, you get to have an extra skill known as "Convicts trust", this allows you to enter any theifs guild or crime ring without questioning. and makes you more deceitful.


Current leader is "Jaken Darith" (just a name) one of the first convicts put here, charged with the crime of Royal Murder, and torture of children/women. a very deceitful man, and very very sly. (grunt, you gota fight for the throne ) he is respected by all gangs of the island. and lives in the wooden fortress.



Forest Island

A large island best noted for its massive trees (size of redwoods). the forest floor is perpetually dark due to the shadows cast down from the large vegatation, and is always shrouded in a thick fog that obscures direction from anyone new to this island. Way up in the trees lies a many many villages made from sticks and vines (and a little magic), one capital is known for its massive totem pole made intirely out of "moon ore" (a white stone that gives off brilliant light in moon light). the people revern the moon.

(Good guys)
the standerd warrior class have no name, but are often referred to as "midnight death". they (the people and soldiors) are a very dark people, that rarely venture out in day (so there skin is pale). they are very cold by nature, and follow a seemingly twisted since of honor. they are most noted for the ability to transform into medium sized panther like things at night (if the moon light can touch you), and are most trained (and feared) by the long bow, although they are trained in light swords, and quarter staffs. (other weapons are optional). (closest race to elves)


Moon magics is taught to a priest class


They all come with a small Moon stone, that illumanates the darkness when needed.


current leader is "Hyper ye Lunie'sea" (emperor of the moon's light), a very mysterious man, that has a disdain for foreigners, he also is one of the 5 greatest acients. (and a master at sword dueling)





Mountain Island

a massive stone island that really is the top of a huge underground mountain. to the outside it looks like a big rock, but deep inside lies thousands of underground cities, and one major fortress. Drakes are trained here, and the warriors of this island are well known for there lack of humor, and inhuman combat skills. respected, and sometimes hated for the reputation.

Charactors traits:
(good guys)
The class of fighters are known as "Dyon Slan" (sword-user of dragons). the standerd weapon is a one-handed long sword, noted for the wavy blade (you can have a different weapon if you want), the soldiers also have standerd knowlage in all forms of weaponry.

Also Dragon-magics are taught to the magic class,

Soldeirs come with a form of poison unique to this island, known as dragon blood, this poison can be placed on edged weapons (for 3 hits) or ranged weapons (for one attack). the poison does not kill, but creates unbelievable pain.

also, you can choose to have a "drake", if you do, it will start out as an egg, and you will have to raise/train it. (its to big of a bonus to start with.


The current leader of the island, is "Hyper ye Slan" (emperor of the dragon), descendant of the Dragon Blood line (the ancient tribe that origonally worshiped/trained dragons) he is one of the greatest fighters known to Sea'thus.


and one of the 5 greatest "Ancients" (i'll explain them later)

Loyalty: Evil
Blood line: Spirit of a evil shadow mage who who died in battle. Though I don't even have blood by god's sake!
Clothing: See Avatar.
Appearance: See Avatar
Status: Elite bodygaurd of Grunt
Skills:
-Master Swordsman
-Powerfull Shadow Magic
-Invisibility (Can go invisible....can't be attacked, but can't attack)
-Materialization (Can materialize, or de-materialize any inanimate object with his mark on it. His weapons for example)
-Telequinesis (Limited phsychic abilities)
Connections: Grunt's Char
Life style: Works as the elite bodgaurd and assassin of Grunt, and rarely leaves his side, of course grunt has no controll over me, and our powers are about equal. Finds great pleasure in torturing and killing mortals, finally devouring their souls (wich is how I keep my lifeforce to its max).
Characteristics: Powerfull shadow magics, increased power when fighting in the dark, bothered by lights (don't kill him), floats, can pass through walls (I'm a wraith after all)

Characteristics:Hatefull shows no respect cept to the ones more powerfull then him

- Seems to posses a keen insight on the world (through talkin with the sprits, etc.)

- Is hard to understand (Always tlakin in riddles and hafe truths, etc.)
- Believe in spritiual blance, and will try to mantin that blance over the world at any cost. (For example, if a turly powerful 'good' guy came and took over, distorying the blance between 'good' and 'evil', my guy would kill him, take him out, to resort the natrual blance to the world.)

Some lords on the Central Island

Life Style: Is evil, and hates the goody-good forces of light. Does not agree with criminals though, and has an usuasually cruel hate for rapists and murderers.

Merits: Intelligent, Good Stratigest, Strong

Flaws: Fear of Spiders, Bad Sleeper (often leads to fatigue)

there is a change i would like to introduce.
the "desert island" isn't a desert, its really a stone mountain if you will, its been tunneled in and everything is subterainian. althought teh stones are just as hot (the mountain is a volcano)


and secondly, we must decide rather or not to just start where we left off, or to start over.

there are already a set of selected islands to choose from, although there are two alternatives if you do not like any of the set islands (i'll talk about them if the situation occurs)

and yes pell, i will go into lengthy detail as to the world this RPG takes place in...


the gameplay is different then most of you are used to, its basically a stratigy game at first (i'll dig up the link to the old game to show you) except when you get to "bosses" or main enimies, then you go into standerd RPG combat.


if anyone wishes to be evil (grunt?) please say so, i will need to explain that a bit differently to you.

altherak,

1) you can have many secondary weapons, but only one primary weapon...so what you want is fine. except there are no "ninja stars" in sea'thus, instead you have a throwing knife with two blades on either side of the hilt. just as good. and there are different types of poison for your blowgun...i'll go into detail later.


2) your blood line is which "origanol house" your ancestry came from. so, like how strider in LotR, he is a decendant king, but chooses not to. once again, i'll mention the houses after school in my "detailed post"


3)generally the clothing you where (or the style of it) developes from the island you live on, but i'm assuming your a bit of an outcast? then you could wear just about whatever you wanted (and put your status to Outcast)


4)your lifestyle is how you live, (i'll give an example charactor after school)


ok then, any questions? feel free to start thinking about your charactors, everything else will be explained (as i said so many times) after school.

The hell whit the space rpg, I even have'nt heard talke about it. I believe that you should focus on Sea'Thus, The Wierdest Named Rpg Ever.

Loyalty: Was good, still is a bit, but now he is bitter and vengfull about her island because he was betrayed.
Blood line: decedant of the line of the noble air elematalist family. I guess.
Clothing: Just the traditional magician robe of the Air Order, and a light armor.
Appearance: Status: Noble, but now, he is a paria, since its elemantal school was destroyed.



Skills ; Eloquance, potentialy powerfull elemantalist, alchemist skills, knows about dragon, since its normal for anyone important on the Moutain island.



Connections: No one now, will contact grunt later in the game because he wanna gets revenge on the moutain island, and he will think, wrongly of course, that grunt's New Order is the only, rightfull one, and it should be inposed on the world, by any mean : The ends justify the means. He might realise that grunt is truly evil, that depend of the influence of the others players.

Life style: I used to be a high ranked member of the Magic cast of the Air elementalist, but we, the Air Elementalist, got betrayed and crushed by the Warior Cast, because we dint whanted to comply to their incresing influance on the island.
They trained some dragons, and made them attack our tower of Magic, and they killed pretty much everyone, including my friends and familly, and I survived only because I "runed away". Since then, I sworn revenge on the warrior cast, who pretty much rule the island whit a iron hand now (like the nazi), the other Elemantilist school, either because they dint opposed the Warrior cast, or because they might have even helped them to destroy us. Im also bitter on myslef because I runed away and I think its my fault if everyone die : the classical dark, sad hero.

So now, he is pretty much sad, depress and angered, and this is why he might think that a allience whit grunt is the only way to get revenge, even if such a aloience is insane.


Characteristics: hmmm, blinded by is desir for revenge, he as lost trust in himself, nostalgic of the past, but he is higly motivated by hate and anger.



Thats pretty much it.
And dint gunny had a space station? isnt that wrong or something?


Oh, and BTW, just for the heck of it, im a woman! (the caracter, that is...)

Status: Leader of the legions of the corrupt.


Skills: in the previous RPG, I was extra-uber because I was a villain. I'm not sure if that still applies, but I think it does, so...

-Master Dark Sorceror (includes that ability I had to turn land into swamps)
-Commanding (the ability to lead large forces into battle, confering benefits to my underlings)

Life style: Well, as it was with the previous Sea'thus games, the swamp island is where people are exiled to. Convicts, criminals, muderers. Their vengeful nature makes it all the more easy for me to twist and warp their minds into mindless slaves ready to do my bidding. The simpler creatures get turned into my basic warrios, whereas the more corrupt a soul is, the more 'elite' they are. Particularly corrupt beings may be turned into Shadow-Dyons, but only a select few can survive or be worthy of the transformation into a shadow elemental. Do you guys remember those?


Characteristics: Relies heavily on SWAMP POWER! Has the ability to transport anyway he wants (as long as that area is in a swamp. I forgot the name of this ability). My creatures also gain special benefits whilst fighting within swampy terrain, which is why it's good to be able to corrupt the land and turn it into swamps. I also recall having this magical barrier that prevented nothing from entering or leaving a swamp-zone.

Ooh, dragons.....

I wanna be a Dragon Rider. could you explain how the dragons in this game work. is it standard: Dragon = uber powerfull, smart, etc... Chromatic Dragon=Bad, Mettalic Dragon=Good?

i'm sorry tainted, but there are no elves...alhtough everything else is fine you can pick from one of the lower "islands" (this is your raciality)


Mountain Island

a massive stone island that really is the top of a huge underground mountain. to the outside it looks like a big rock, but deep inside lies thousands of underground cities, and one major fortress. Drakes are trained here, and the warriors of this island are well known for there lack of humor, and inhuman combat skills. respected, and sometimes hated for the reputation.

Charactors traits:
(good guys)
The class of fighters are known as "Dyon Slan" (sword-user of dragons). the standerd weapon is a one-handed long sword, noted for the wavy blade (you can have a different weapon if you want), the soldiers also have standerd knowlage in all forms of weaponry.

Also Dragon-magics are taught to the magic class,

Soldeirs come with a form of poison unique to this island, known as dragon blood, this poison can be placed on edged weapons (for 3 hits) or ranged weapons (for one attack). the poison does not kill, but creates unbelievable pain.

also, you can choose to have a "drake", if you do, it will start out as an egg, and you will have to raise/train it. (its to big of a bonus to start with.


The current leader of the island, is "Hyper ye Slan" (emperor of the dragon), descendant of the Dragon Blood line (the ancient tribe that origonally worshiped/trained dragons) he is one of the greatest fighters known to Sea'thus.


and one of the 5 greatest "Ancients" (i'll explain them later)

Forest Island

A large island best noted for its massive trees (size of redwoods). the forest floor is perpetually dark due to the shadows cast down from the large vegatation, and is always shrouded in a thick fog that obscures direction from anyone new to this island. Way up in the trees lies a many many villages made from sticks and vines (and a little magic), one capital is known for its massive totem pole made intirely out of "moon ore" (a white stone that gives off brilliant light in moon light). the people revern the moon.

(Good guys)
the standerd warrior class have no name, but are often referred to as "midnight death". they (the people and soldiors) are a very dark people, that rarely venture out in day (so there skin is pale). they are very cold by nature, and follow a seemingly twisted since of honor. they are most noted for the ability to transform into medium sized panther like things at night (if the moon light can touch you), and are most trained (and feared) by the long bow, although they are trained in light swords, and quarter staffs. (other weapons are optional). (closest race to elves)


Moon magics is taught to a priest class


They all come with a small Moon stone, that illumanates the darkness when needed.


current leader is "Hyper ye Lunie'sea" (emperor of the moon's light), a very mysterious man, that has a disdain for foreigners, he also is one of the 5 greatest acients. (and a master at sword dueling)

NOTE: this time the game takes place before the last one did...

Swamp Island


A very horrible island to live in, this island is virtually one massive swamp, only interupted by an occasional strip of land used to travel, only one city stands, and this is more of a fortress...built around a huge black flat stone. an occasional outpost stands built upon long poles in the swamp. the swamp is known to carry a host of ungodly things and creatures.

(Bad Guys)
The people of the island are a swarming multitude of raptists, murderers, con-artists, street theives, and just about every other form of convict imaginable...this leads to a diverse group of soldiers used for multiple things. the people occasionally join up in bands and gangs and fight each other.
almost all traits and variety of units are acceptable.


only shadow-magic can be taught, and only to the worthy.


if you are of this island, you get to have an extra skill known as "Convicts trust", this allows you to enter any theifs guild or crime ring without questioning. and makes you more deceitful.


Current leader is "Jaken Darith" (just a name) one of the first convicts put here, charged with the crime of Royal Murder, and torture of children/women. a very deceitful man, and very very sly. (grunt, you gota fight for the throne ) he is respected by all gangs of the island. and lives in the wooden fortress.

Isn't there a shadow island? You know, where all the spirits, wraiths, and tortured souls live?

Please say yes....cus I want to be a wraith....and a island of the dead would be perfect (I'm not a prisoner....and I don't want to be on a grose swamp island!).

Okay, so far the swamp island sounds like the closest I will get, with the shadow magic and all. Do you have any islands in mind for those that are neutral. Otherwise, I'd have to go with the swamp island.

Central Island

The central and largest of the islands, (and my favorite)
This island is the most normal of them all, filled with long rolling fields and hills, with an occasional forest or woods. its also the most open of islands...for it is divided by a few different types of people. The main city is full of multitudes of people, and located on a platoe(sp?) like peninsula (great stratigy point). their are many common farmers and hunters in all of the towns, and a market street in the city (great place for learning stuff, buying stuff, and trading). there are also alley-ways known to carry a rag-tag theif's den.
the Palace is in the far back, and VERY well guarded.

The main army is known as "Dyons" (sword users), this is a well trained organized army, speicializing in all forms of weaponry. Long bows are not an option. The people here are generally respectable, but perhapse the most familier of peoples, they are ruled by many lords and Ladies, who in turn, are ruled by a King.
Dyons gain (only one of the following) 1) a horse like creature, that is all white with weird black stripes on the neck and head. they also have long black horns. (a deer/horse thingy) or 2) leadership (the ability to take control over disbanded armies, or peasants, and make them fight for you/help you in GOOD ways)


Then their are many villages full of farmers, and hunters, and other such common people...but as of right now, every village has a militia. militia gain skills with all farm-related weapons (quarter staff, pitch fork) and most have light armor, and old weapons. miltia gain an extra skill called "Defense of the People" (this allows them to fight twice as strong when defending.)


finally, there is a small town on the lower part of the island. this village holds large barbarian like people, they are taught in clubs/axes/two-handed swords (only one) and live in a series of trecherous hills made of a blood red clay (there is a legend to this), in the hot part of the year, hte clay is slippery and dangerous, in the cold part of the year, the clay is sharp and jagged. always dangerous to walk through. the barbarians gain "Bezerker" which allows them to triple there strength for a short duration of time. but these people can NOT ride the horse thingy.


A priest hood is open for magic users, as is standerd sorcery.


lastly, the ruler of this island is "Hyper ye Sea'thus" (emperor of The Isle of Light) he is as well one of the 5 greatest ancients, and slightly in charge of all islands (save the swamp)

you can be neutral or good or evil from any of the islands (there is one left to talk about) you just need a story (example: you were falsely accused and sent to the swamp, but you are good)



o yes, and dont feel confined to the details about the people of the islands...so far, everything you all have posted works dandy, my posts just explain the culture of the islands. you can do almost anything you want, or be who ever you want.

(i'll post the last island later tonight, then go into back ground detail)

there is the central one, the swamp one, the forest one (giant trees) and the mountian one (the forest and mountain are up a little ways)

and a small jungle island that i haven't posted yet...
