I would like to petition Blizzard to make a race of penguins, if and when there is an expansion (possibly only available as a random option?). The chances of success for such a petition are quite small, I realize, especially given their pre-existing prejudice in favor of pandas, but I feel it's worth a shot. Maybe somebody (not me) would at least make a mod or something. But anyway, first I need to collect some general ideas for heroes, units, structures, etc. I'll start off:

Penguin Lord, a hero

attack: focused, sonic burst of squawking (ranged)

abilities:

waddle aura: makes surrounding units wobble in the graceful penguin fashion, making them more difficult to hit (like evasion, but less chance of missing and more units affected)

royal tobaggan: Penguin Lord slides on its belly towards a target, scattering, stunning, and doing cold damage to all in its path

rain of penguins: Penguin Lord calls forth a small flock of penguins which rain down from the sky (they can't fly) doing mild area of effect damage and becoming several weak melee units

ultimate:

penguin stare: Penguin Lord stares his most intimidating stare, and all enemy units within target area have 50% chance of temporarily switching sides out of sheer domination (doesn't affect heroes, non-dispellable because of short duration)

there wwas a panda race, but it was APRIL FOOLS! man, i want pandas so bad..hehe interesting idea for a penguin race though.

in the meantime, there should also be a rat race(pun intended)

Come on, people! Throw me a fish! It shouldn't take too much creativity to at least say "the town hall should be a big igloo" or something...

Look at some rpg's like dwm or ff sometimes they maybe you will find something there.

Why don't you make your own penguin race. Get someone to make models for them or something and use the unit editor and stuff. Far advanced for me but im pretty sure you could find someone that could do it

yeah, they should have poo-slinging and egg throwing penguins, and for air units, they should have special flying penguins who does a shit-bombardment and they should have a passive ability called "smelliness" which makes all people (ally or enemy) to attackhim until it wears off. Lasts 10 seconds.

Most penguin units can enter deep water. When in water they move faster and regenerate HP. Penguins can also enslave seal critters, so they bring them fish - that's how penguins get their food.

The evil penguins had enslaved some of their former foes - polar bears (heavy melee), seals (workers), lemmings (cheap suicide units) and even whales which are used as water transports. Their powerful spellcasters employ deadly cold abilities as well as magnetic spells straight from Northend's magnetic pole.

ok this is a dude from my own fanfic / mod its acctually a "Larcas" which is one of the "new" races.The project is called "TOW" ( The
Old World). in my series of fanfic/mods called "MoW" Myths of Warcraft (since their just based on fanfics)


Until now its called a "ground shaker" but now it will be renamed and re modeled to " ohh great 4 legged penguin".

its a huge 4 legged beast of mass destruction. The penguin is like on 4 leggs and is about 5 meters. it has huge fangs adn spikes on his head ( and some on his feet) and a great tail club.


he can A) meelee he hits and pounds with his headspikesinto his enemies tearing their flesh apart. or B) Go ranged attack by pushing his spikes and fangs into the ground and use his tail club.

Im bored so i made a drawing of this penguin of mass destruction

A ability could be "slide" which grants the penguin bonus speed whcih he can use too attack or retreat with.

"mad beak" could like infest the penguin hit with his beak.

"figure skating" morphing many penguins into 1 super penguin ! 5 i guess liek the power rangers.

"fish breath" gives the nearby enemies a poisinous cloud which inflikts alot of damamge.

a hero could be the "king penguin" with the abilities to summon a walrus, freezer which freezes the gound so enemies fall and break their necks inflickting 100 damage over a certain area. and perhaps a aura of "stoned poo" giving an extra % damage to poo slingers near by.

For Cleanness sake, not poo or shit

They would be enemies of the undead since They would come from Norhtrend or that undead isle, and were banished. They'd fire magically summonned snowballs or ice spears...

Magicks

Summon Yeti

Summons a yeti...stats like those of a slightly bummed level 2 water elemental. Is summonned more slowly tho...

Peak of Stunning

Sends a peak summonning ancestral energies that stuns the enemy... but it cannot be hit then.

THERE WAS A PANDA RACE origionally there were supposed to be six races in war3 one of them Pandoren that was to be their name but they scrapped prob because the rest where lie humans and elves and along comes a PANDA it dont go.
but the penguin ideas good tyhey shuld be like the elite fighters for the Panderon.

the penguin and seal alliance all will fall to them!!!!!!

Have we discussed the sheep race yet?

Farms could be igloo shacks or snow burrows, and workers could hide in them and throw snow

Units could be Poo slinging penguin, armoured penguin, penguin brigadier, penguin gernadier, penguins that ride snow jet ski things.

the penguin lord could summon smaller penguins like spirit wolves.

there sieges weapons could be penguins on small wagons that hurl large snow balls, u could upgrade them to a green poision snow ball.

another hero could be emperor penguin, workers could be called fairy penguins

a hero spell caster could be called a fagangen and 1 of his spells could be sumthing like morphing a group of units into 1 big unit say if you had 5 poo slinging penguins in the area of affect all there health and armour would cobine and last for 30 seconds
lvl 2 60 and lvl 3 120

that would be nice

and i like that igloo idea for the farms

any of your own untis (4 max depeninde on size) could hide inside it and get healed and extra 5 hp per second and they could have small ranged artillery canons (by how many units are in it) and each one could do maybe 16-21 damage

cold water - freezes the enemy units becasue their dic*s have well become smaller

What about flying units?

Seals with huge cannons on their back. Imagine the Recoil.

Either that, or have the flying units for the penguins do rocket jumps (ala Quake) to get around if you can't think of a way they can fly without wing extensions.

there should be tiny suicidal seals cuse the fat is very flamable.

some of the creeps should be "angry Norwegain seal killers !"

ok is this really a project, does this thread contain reasonable content with any poin apart from spam? I'm getting temptade to close this thread (prolly because there is not much else to do in this forum) hehe. I'll give a few days.. I wanna see some progress here OR closed she will be!

Have buildings create a spread of ice much like the blight. When the buildings blow up, the ice recedes, leaving shallow water.

Is that progress?
