I'm not watching the film but I'll give you this:
As long as there's no statistical evidence that sexuality varies in different cultures/countries then it would indicate that it's purely genetic although that kind of evidence still would not prove the opposite.
Since there is absolutely no water-proof way to measure sexuality in different cultures this remains to be proven/falsified. It might be plausible to see it as a result of genetics and cultural socialization but still no way to prove it.

Sexuality can't be purely genetic, as far as the outcome in sexual growth goes. For example, my bitch ex got raped by her cousin when she was 7, so she was quite sexually kinky, and also a bitch, hehe.
